We have enjoyed all the Christmas activities this week at MES. We started the festivities with Christmas stories and sugar cookies by the tree and then every student chose a book to take home. We kept the reading going with Cocoa and Books hosted by the library. Then we all came together for our annual Christmas Sing-a-Long! We loved dancing and singing with Lilly the Leopard, Rudolph and The Grinch. We wrapped up the week with class parties and we are all ready to enjoy the break! Don't forget early dismissal today!

Early dismissal Friday!

We loved seeing our 4th grade Beta Club members on their Grinch themed float last night at the Christmas Parade.

Mark your calendars! We have Early Dismissal on December 22!

Remember to bring your bank deposits tomorrow, Wednesday, December 13!

The third grade GT students created self portraits from legos this week. We thought they did a great job and wanted to share a few of them with you!

Ten third and fourth grade GT students represented MES at the Dawson Co-op Chess Tournament at ASUTR on Friday. Noah Nelson finished as runner-up in the third grade division with a 4-1 record. Lucy Ivy finished at 3-1-1 in the fourth grade division which put her in a tie for third place. Chess teaches students to think critically, problem solve and improves visualization. We are proud of all the students and the way they represented MES today!
